I am a traveler, having lived and worked in Guatemala, Thailand, Romania, Pakistan, D.R.of the Congo, Ecuador, and now, for a spell, in Germany.

A former foster child, and then adopted at age 18, I am concerned and active in this community.  A brief stint as a Children's Service Worker illustrated my adult distrust of this part of our society, and I'd like to be instrumental in forcing changes to improve the lives of foster children and families in the U.S.

I'm hoping to improve my writing skills, and reach my goal of publishing some of my works in the upcoming years, and am new to HubPages just for that goal!

Art, travel, crafts, children's rights, education, diversity, financial independence, and reaching personal goals and aspirations are all themes I hope to write about.
